DIA DE LA CANCION CRIOLLA
For the first time ever, this coming October 31st, we will be celebrating the Day of Peruvian Creole Song in the United States of America at the very prestigious Astoria World Manor Ballroom. This celebration will include key figures of this unmistakable peruvian musical genre.
Astoria World Manor's most elegant halls will make history when for the very first time assemblymen, professionals, businessmen, artists and general public from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and other surrounding areas come together to sumptuously celebrate the National Day of Creolism. In this first edition we will pay rightful hommage to Don Rufino Ortiz, an outstanding musician who had the privilege to accompany no less than our memorable and beloved Chabuca Granda.
Through this celebration we are also providing with a propitious opportunity to promote businesses that are linked to our country by offering the annual space in which businessmen and professionals may gather to generate bonds of mutual interest.
This event is sponsored by the General Consulate of Peru in New York, the Borough of Peruvian Commerce in New York, QUIPUNET.ORG, 501-(C) (3) and El Diario La Prensa, celebrating its 100 years of existence.
