Kiez Oper returns, with 2 shows in one evening, in the most amazing venue we have used so far.
You will find an atmospheric evening of Lieder and Chamber music (plus so much more) within the beautiful yet scarred war-torn walls of the Elizabethenkirche.
The show will be part of the program for the Light Art Tour 2013. (www.light-art-projects.de) as part of the "Berlin Leuchtet" Festival.
Walls and what they represent will be our leitmotif - barriers, grand facades, reflectors, traps, monuments and symbols of history, explored through the medium of lieder, folk melodies, chamber ensemble and dance. Featuring the highest quality artists, musicians and performers including members of the Staatsoper and Staatsballet!
Continuing the Kiez connection to the club scene, the performance will be further enhanced by projections (both inside and outside) from the legendary Tofa (http://www.metofa.com/) on the bare brick walls of the church.
