Here's Bogie with another Queen of the B's, Lizabeth Scott. Scott plays the sultry nightclub singer girlfriend of Bogie's war buddy who has, inexplicable, gone on the lam while on his way to receive a medal in Washington. When his friend turns up dead and he tries to investigate, Bogie finds himself on the outs with both the cops and the crooked local casino owner.
