Bogie and Bacall team up again this time to find the real killer for the crime that Bogie has been accused of. He is on the run, hiding out in Bacall's apartment. He has even gone so far as to get reconstructive surgery in order to create a new identity. In a stylistic twist, the film is shot first-person for the first 30 minutes until Bogie's face is revealed.
