Improvaganza Presents The 2013 improvaganza Opening Ceremony
On Thursday September 26, Improvaganza Kicks off the festival with an epic opening night ceremony with performances by Improvised dance troupe "Spatial Sculptors", international act the Parisian Gentlemen of Paris with their signature show "Paris Tales", On The Spot's homage to Charles Shultz Peanuts cartoon strip "It's An Improv Show Charlie Brown" and The Adventures of Gilbert and Sullivan. Show also features special musical guest Leeni. Show starts at 7:00pm

As a part of our festival's 8 bit theme, Improvaganza welcomes chiptune artist, and Colbert girl Leeni. Leeni is veteran to an ever growing chiptune scene and has been at the forefront of the music genre for the past 4 years. (chiptune also known as 8-bit music, is synthesized electronic music produced by the sound vintage video game consoles) Leeni's music will be featured throughout the festival and she will also be playing live a some of our venues during our festival.

Improvaganza is pleased to welcome this year's international act from Paris France, The Parisian Gentleman of Paris with their show Paris Tales. The show is a collection of improvised scenes with elements of storytelling, physical theatre, monologues, clown, poetry, songs, theatre of the absurd and audience participation ...all inspired by Paris! It is an invitation to discover and explore the characters and the secrets, the stories and the atmospheres, the clichés and the harsh truth of the fascinating and eternal City of Light, of Paris.
