Laurie Lewis and The Right Hands
Arena Theater proudly presents bluegrass musician Laurie Lewis in concert joined by her famous band, "The Right Hands".
Lewis is widely considered one of the finest bluegrass singers and songwriters around. A native of Berkeley, CA, Lewis's songwriting, fiddling, and crystal-clear singing have brought her national recognition, a Grammy, and two International Bluegrass Music Association Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year. Through her many band and solo outings, Laurie has become a key figure in bluegrass, traditional, and folk music circles. Featuring songs new and old, Lewis's repertoire includes folk classics such as "How Can I Keep From Singing" and Kate Wolf's "Unfinished Life" and gorgeous originals like "The Roughest Road" and "Chains of Letters" blend harmoniously with the able assistance of mandolinist and long time musical partner, Tom Rozum. They will be joined by fiddler Chad Manning, banjo ace Patrick Sauber, and singer and mandolin player Sharon Gilchrist. Rozum adds masterful mandolin, mandola, guitar, vocal talent and his own particular brand of wry humor. The Arena Theater bar and snack stand will be open.
