Austin Ratner In the Land of the Living
Austin Ratner In the Land of the Living (FREE TO THE COMMUNITY) Nov 14th The Temple Tifereth Israel 7:30pm
Part family saga, part coming-of-age story, In the Land of the Living is a kinetic, fresh, bawdy yet earnest shot to the heart of a novel about coping with death, and figuring out how and why to live. Cleveland's own Austin Ratner Ratner is an award-winning author whose works have appeared in The New York Times Magazine. He now lives in Brooklyn with his family, where he is Clinical Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine. Ratner grew up in Cleveland, and his background facilitates realistic descriptions of the city, and speaks to anyone in the Cleveland Jewish Community.
