Virtual Tour of Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Hospital Renovation & Expansion + Q&A w/DB Team
The Design-Build team of McCarthy, SmithGroup, and Taylor Design recently completed a massive $230M renovation and modernization of the Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Center in Downey, CA. This online event will include a short video explaining the needs of the project and the amazing results that were accomplished. This video tour includes the public plaza, therapy gardens, and terrain park anchored by the iconic forms and massing of the new Wellness, Outpatient, and Hospital buildings, also highlighted will be fly-through explorations of the central concourse and public areas, dynamic physical and occupational therapy spaces, and specialty care and imaging suites. Following the video tour, a panel discussion featuring representatives from Taylor Design, SmithGroup, McCarthy, and Dept of Public Works (Const Mgr) and Dept of Public Health (Owner). The Panel will discuss various project challenges and achievements. This project has multiple LEED ratings, include Gold for LEED NC, and Silver for LEED Healthcare. An important part of this event is a live Q&A session with the Panel available for all participating viewers.
