WI Safe Products, Made Safely: Green Chemistry Tools for Business
Join Us at University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point Safe Products, Made Safely: Tools for Businesses This one and a half day workshop provides a framework for evaluating the best approaches and tools for your business in meeting goals to eliminate or reduce the use of toxic chemicals in consumer products and processes throughout the supply chain. Day 1 of the workshop will provide background on the regulatory landscape, including REACH and U.S. state and federal regulations. It will also cover other drivers for safer chemistry, including the value and cost savings from reducing toxic inputs, reduced liability, and meeting consumer demand for safer products. Day 2 will focus on the process and criteria for selecting tools to evaluate chemical hazards, as well as specific tools designed to meet business needs for hazard assessment, life cycle assessment and alternatives assessment.
