This year they'll provide an original live score to silent horror classic THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI (1920). Two screenings, 7:30 and 10:00.
THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI is widely regarded to be one of the most influential films of all time by critics and filmmakers alike. Robert Wiene's masterpiece of German Expressionism tells the tale of a young man's horrific encounter with a mysterious doctor and his dangerous patient. The film's visual style has influenced scores of directors over the decades including Alfred Hitchcock and Tim Burton. Event trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN6Qw-c27b8&feature=youtu.be
