Smart Summer Reads is Virtual on Sunday July 12, 2020
Your favorite summer event is back! Smart Summer Reads (SSR) is fast, fun, and guaranteed to supply you with some great reading this summer.

Here's who's coming to SSR:

Janie Chang has written a beautiful novel based on true events and rich in Chinese history and lore. The Library of Legends is both an illuminating exploration of China's recent past and an evocative tale of love, sacrifice, and the extraordinary power of storytelling. In stock now.

Julie Clark has written a page-turner of a debut. The Last Flight is the story of two women, both alone and scared, and the one agonizing decision that will change the trajectory of both of their lives. Signed copies (and complementary Last Flight tote bag) will arrive in store on June 23.

Lian Dolan has written a hilarious, heartfelt story about books, love, sisterhood, and the surprises we discover in our DNA. The Sweeney Sisters is her much anticipated third novel. In stock now.

Gina Fattore has written a semi-autobiographical unromantic comedy. The Spinster Diaries is a laugh-out-loud satire of both the TV business and the well-worn conventions of chick lit. In stock now.

Rufi Thorpe has created a tragic and unflinching portrait of identity and an excruciatingly beautiful story of two humans aching for connection. We are excited to welcome back Rufi and The Knockout Queen. In stock now.

Robin Wasserman's new book, Mother Daughter Widow Wife is a psychologically riveting novel centered around a woman with no memory, the scientists invested in studying her, and the daughter who longs to understand. Arriving on July 7; available for pre-order now.

Event Details
Our virtual Zoom event begins at 3:00pm on Sunday, July 12. You will receive a link to our event one day before SSR (Saturday, July 11) when you register through Brown Paper Tickets.

Important Note: Don't be late, you won't want to miss the start of this year's event!!

Cost
There is no charge for this event. The only thing we ask is that you buy a minimum of one book by one of our authors. You can do that any time from our website or by calling me to place your order. If you live close enough, I will even deliver your book(s) to you. Most of the books are already in store and you can start reading now!

The program will wrap up at 4:45pm so you can go home and read a good book!
