Intro to 2D Needle Felting
Needle Felting Fungus Family
In this class with guest Instructor Donna Koepp, we will Needle Felt a pre-printed image on fabric in a 6 wood embroidery hoop. The felted image can also be embellished with 3D wool elements, beads, embroidery or anywhere your imagination takes you. This class is a great point to jump off and create your own unique wool paintings like pet portraits and landscapes. Beginning felting students and those looking to practice their skills are welcome and encouraged. All supplies included.

Needle felting is a relatively new craft from the 80s, but has caught on because of its easy and satisfying way to create three-dimensional objects. Animals, plants, birds, fantasy figures are all popular subjects for needle felting. They make great gifts if you can part with them. All the wool material you need to make one of these charming characters is provided.
Student Supplies: If you have them, bring felting surface, needles, and shaping tools.
Class Supplies: For those who don't have felting tools, a kit is provided on loan and available for a $10 purchase from the instructor, if you choose to keep it.
Our workshops are appropriate for ages 14+
Please note our Cancellation Policy: Preregistration is required for all classes including payment in full. A full refund is available for cancellations up to 7 days before class, half refund 2-7 days before class. No refund within 48 hours of class. If there is a waiting list or you can find someone to fill your spot, we will offer a full refund.
COVID-19 Safety protocol: For the safety of teachers as well as students, we will be requiring anyone in the studio taking classes or shopping, to wear masks and keep their hands clean. Students can go outside to take breaks and get fresh air during class, but must be masked at all times inside the studio. If you anticipate this being too cumbersome please wait to register for a class at a later date when these restrictions are lifted. Classes will be limited to six students as we ease into reopening. Studio and common tools will be sanitized after each workshop.
