The Dynamics of Disaster: Susan Kieffer
Susan Kieffer is a professor emerita of geology at the University of Illinois, a recipient of a MacArthur Foundation "genius" grant, member of the National Academy of Sciences, and host of a popular blog called Geology in Motion. Her new book, Dynamics of Disaster, disproves the common assumption that each disaster is a singular event. They are, she contends, all connected.
