Purple School Bus plays Nash County Arts Council
Purple Schoolbus is a powerful five member ensemble featuring Scott Scala-drums, Bernie Taylor-bass and vocals, Kevin Sledge-guitar and vocals, Micah Peedin-lead guitar and vocals, and Mark Harris-saxophones and percussion. Purple Schoolbus formed in early 1992 in Greenville, NC. They released two critically acclaimed albums: Purple Schoolbus and Phoenicia Blind; and are currently adding the finishing touches to their third album, Movin On. The "Bus" has played hundreds of awe inspiring live performances. Their tours have taken them as far north as New England, south to Florida and as far west as the Rocky Mountains with all points in between. Purple Schoolbus is an original band, playing original music. With there grooves, harmonies and jams, they are often described as a cross between CSN, the Grateful Dead, and Santana; but are best described as "Southern Fried San Francisco!"
