Keeping Our Kids Safe Parent Conference
The Safe Communities Task Force invites you to the Keeping Our Kids Safe Parent Conference on Saturday, October 12th from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm at Clark College.
Featuring Keynote Speaker Fabian Debora: A former gang member and drug addict, Fabian Debora is now an artist and substance abuse counselor at Homeboy Industries, a Los Angeles-based program serving former gang members. Mr. Debora works to create positive change in people and communities, communicating his personal experiences through art.
A full slate of breakout sessions are scheduled throughout the day on a variety of topics related to youth violence including gangs, suicide, substance abuse, dating violence, and sexual exploitation.

9:30 - Registration
10:00 - Breakout sessions include Gang Trends and Dating Violence & Sexual Harassment 101
11:10 - Breakout sessions include Gang Identifiers, Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking 101, and Substance Abuse Prevention
12:20 - Lunch
1:30 - Breakout sessions include Engaging Gang Youth, Dating Violence & Sexual Harassment 201, and Youth Suicide Prevention
