A Pennsylvania Painted Schrank and Painted Panels by Cosimo Rosselli - ZOOM LECTURE
Dennis Carr, Virginia Steele Scott Chief Curator of American Art, and Catherine Hess, Chief Curator of European Art, discuss two very different works of art-an 18th-century American wardrobe and portions of a 15th-century Italian altarpiece. While these works were added to The Huntington's collections at different times, they both offer insights on related issues about the movement of people and objects and the sometimes complicated role that museums play in the preservation of art. Christina Nielsen, Hannah and Russel Kully Director of the Art Museum, moderates the post-presentation discussion and takes questions from the audience.
The lecture is held online via Zoom. Attendees will be able to ask questions during the lecture. Zoom link will be sent to attendees in registration confirmation email.
