Pine Needle Baskets with Susan Lester

Join Susan Lester for a pine needle weaving project suitable for beginners or those who have woven with pine needles before. We live near an endless supply of weaving material.Take a walk anywhere near Tahoe and come home with your next projects materials. We will discuss preparation of the needles and weave a small tray. This project uses a ceramic base and waxed linen thread. Please bring a pair of small sharp scissors, everything else will be provided. (There will be a variety of ceramic centers to choose from, not necessarily like the one shown in the example.)

This class is appropriate for ages 15+
Please note our Cancellation Policy: Preregistration is required for all classes including payment in full. A full refund is available for cancellations up to 7 days before class, half refund 2-7 days before class. No refund within 48 hours of class. If there is a waiting list or you can find someone to fill your spot, we will offer a full refund minus paypal fees, if applicable

COVID-19 Safety protocol: For the safety of teachers as well as students, we will be requiring anyone in the studio taking classes or shopping, to wear masks and keep their hands clean. Students can go outside to take breaks and get fresh air during class, but must be masked at all times inside the studio. If you anticipate this being too cumbersome please wait to register for a class at a later date when these restrictions are lifted. Classes will be limited to six students as we ease into reopening. Studio and common tools will be sanitized after each workshop.
