FIESTA 2013 (A&E Society Reception)
FIESTA is an annual celebration of the arts in our community produced by Class Acts Arts. This year's FIESTA takes place at the Silver Spring Civic Center (1 Veterans Pl) in downtown Silver Spring, MD on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The theme for FIESTA 2013, "Oh the Places Art Will Go!", showcases all the places Class Acts Arts brings the arts from schools and libraries to juvenile detention centers and correctional facilities to other countries and cultures to deep within our imaginations. The event includes entertainment, exhibition, food and drink, a silent auction, and more! Catherine Leggett, first Lady of Montgomery County, and Susan Nordeen host the event, which features performances by Natural Science Song & Dance Man Billy B. and stepping sensation Step Afrika! Over 300 art lovers from Montgomery County and the National Capital region are expected to attend.
SCHEDULE
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. FREE Art Exhibition and Silent Auction Opens
6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. FREE Community Event featuring performances by Billy B. and Step Afrika!
7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. A&E Society Reception (with open bar and hors d'oeuvres). Featuring delectables from Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, 8407 Kitchen Bar, Jaleo Restaurant, Hollywood East, Whole Foods, Zpizza, and more! Wine from Barefoot Wines & Bubbly. Beer from Pabst. This is a ticketed event. Buy your tickets here on Brown Paper Tickets. All persons attending the reception must be 21 years or older and will be asked to present proper ID at the registration desk.
9:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Closing and Silent Auction Checkout
Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door.
Advance ticket sales will end Tuesday, October 22nd at mid-night.
