Inspired by Bram Stoker's well-known vampire novel, "Dracula del Lobo" is an original play in a Victorian Miniature Theatre style. Set in Argentina in the 1920s, it tells the story of two young women who are sent to the countryside for the summer, only to discover that the reclusive Count who lives next door has a supernatural interest in them. The award winning Little Blue Moon Theatre has created a play that is spooky and erotic, atmospheric and visually stunning, featuring the original artwork of Michael Nelson and the live voice acting and singing of the Little Blue Moon Theatre cast. Under development since 2005, "Dracula del Lobo" premiered to great acclaim at the Preetz Paper Theatre Festival in Germany in September, 2008, with sold out performances, continuing with performances in Cologne before returning to the U.S.
The intimacy of Victorian Miniature Theatre seemed the perfect medium for this lush combination of visual art and solid acting by a Bay Area troupe that has been an international performing ensemble for nearly 30 years.
