Night Shift - Saturday May 30, 8:30-11:30 PM Day Shift - Sunday May 31, 10:00 AM-Noon This year, we are offering two opportunities to celebrate Shavuot with the OFJCC online. Shavuot is a Jewish festival of learning and spiritual transformation - and so this year, even on Zoom, the OFJCC and BINA are offering you a rich variety of lectures, workshops, hands-on experiences and musical performances. The first series of sessions will be offering during the Shavuot "Night Shift," on the night of Saturday May 30th, and we will continue with a second set of sessions during the "Day Shift" on the morning of Sunday, May 31. The theme of this year's Shavuot experience is "Becoming." The Shavuot holiday is an opportunity in the Jewish calendar to undergo deep transformations as a Jewish people. This year, Shavuot arrives as a timely opportunity to mark the transformations we are all facing in our daily lives as well. And even more: this year's OFJCC Shavuot experience gives us a chance to explore what our whole community is now "becoming." Together we will create a new Tikkun Leil Shavuot model, inviting both our Hebrew and English speaking community members to learn, connect and BECOME together. We are also pleased to expand our community circles by inviting the larger Jewish community to join us for OFJCC programming online, too. Speakers include OFJCC faculty, as well as a diverse group of local and faraway teachers, singers, performers, and thought leaders.
