Online Elective: Improvising Miyazaki: Poetic Realism with Gael Doorneweerd-Perry
Hayao Miyazaki creates in his movies worlds full of creatures, colourful landscapes and incredible machineries. But how to reproduce that on stage without a set?
This workshop will lead you to create beautiful pictures and sceneries, so that you can bring the audience in a world that is fantastic and full of wonders. Based on work rooted in storytelling, writing tools and of course on the movies of the director, you will dip your toe in Gael's Miyazaki's Kingdom format. No need to be a specialist, just bring your imagination, curiosity and colourful dreams!
This class takes place on 30th May from 2pm-4.30pm and costs £15. As we are offering free tickets to those who are unable to afford them, we are also offering an option to buy a place for yourself and a place for someone less able to afford it.
If you would like to request a free place, please email classes@thenurserytheatre.com
All sales are final.
