Online Elective: Objects that Matter - with Stephen Davidson
A workshop on object or space work in improv, focusing not just on the how but on the why.
Objects and environment can add weight and interest to your scene, become a running gag, ground your characters and more.
We're often reluctant to give object work the space it deserves, though, favouring instead the impulse to say something clever or further a plot. We'll learn how to treat objects with care, hold silence with confidence, and fully commit to the reality we're creating. The more time you take, the more time you get.
This class takes place on 9th May from 2 pm-4.30 pm and costs £15. As we are offering free tickets to those who are unable to afford them, we are also offering an option to buy a place for yourself and a place for someone less able to afford it.
If you would like to request a free place, please email classes@thenurserytheatre.com
All sales are final.
