My Brightest Diamond w/ Clare & The Reasons - Halloween-Eve Bash
My Brightest Diamond is spearheaded by Shara Worden whose vocal style and stage theatrics channel Jeff Buckley, Nina Simone and Portishead, backed up by the bands Mancini-esque string arrangements. After touring with Sufjan Stevens, The Decemberists and The National, MBD have released their sophomore album, A Thousand Sharks Teeth, on Asthmatic Kitty Records. Clare & The Reasons open with their nostalgia evoking pop that mixes chanteuse vocals with arrangements reminiscent of Van Dyke Parks. Bonus SPACE points if you get in the mood and come dressed up!
