From Page to Stage: Performative Storytelling for Writers ONLINE CLASS
ALL CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS ARE NOW ONLINE DUE TO THE SHELTER IN PLACE ORDINANCE.
The Chicago Live Literature scene has been a showcase for some of the city's best writers. But not all writers are performers. From Page to Stage will help established writers turn their work into a show-ready piece. This five-week course will take you from start to finish, not only workshopping your piece, but discussing the nuances of storytelling and live performance. In the sixth week, you'll perform your final work in front of an audience. The class will culminate in a student graduation showcase, date TBD upon reopening of The Lincoln Lodge venue.
Class Schedule is as follows: Thursday, July 30th 7pm - 9pm (CST US) Thursday, August 6th 7pm - 9pm (CST US) Thursday, August 13th 7pm - 9pm (CST US) Thursday, August 20th 7pm - 9pm (CST US) Thursday, August 27th 7pm - 9pm (CST US)
Grad show date TBD Upon reopening of The Lincoln Lodge Training Center which is currently closed due to the Illinois Shelter In Place Policies. Following guidance from the City of Chicago with regards to the current Corona Virus situation and with concerns for the health and well being of our patrons, performers and staff The Lincoln Lodge will be closed until further notice.
All students will receive an email no later than one day prior to their class start date which will include a Zoom link and all information on how to access this online class.
About the Lincoln Lodge Training Center The course is founded on the comedy principles of the critically acclaimed Lincoln Lodge, a national leader in cultivating and developing new comedy talent. Join one of Chicago's top writers/performers, Carly Oishi for a course in storytelling offered by the locally and nationally revered Lincoln Lodge, Chicago's top stand-up and variety showcase.
REFUND Policy: Full refunds are available any time up to 5 days before the first class commences. Refunds after that time are at the course administrator's discretion.
ROLLOVER Policy: If you are not able to participate in class after registration and the refund window has expired you can potentially roll your registration over to the next course session provided space is available. This is subject to course administrator's discretion and a $40 administration fee. Please note there is NO facility to rollover classes once you have attended ANY classes.
