An Updated Complete Overview of the Virginia Fair Housing Law
This past session of the General Assembly has been quite memorable for those who are regulated under the Virginia Fair Housing Law. For years, organizations have proposed amending the law to add various protected classes. The Virginia Fair Housing Office has decided to host this event to make it convenient for participants to the Governor's Housing Conference to have access to information that will help them stay up to date with the law and avoid costly pitfall.
Protection has now grown from eight protected classes to 12. In places like Fairfax County and Roanoke, the numbers have grown to 13 and 14 respectfully. Learn about the new protected classes added to the law and how they are applied in housing transactions. Join us. Bring your questions and concerns.
