Navigating Crisis with Kindness by Playback Memphis
In these sessions we will:
Define self-compassion as a practice to strengthen inner resources of joy, perspective taking, and curiosity in our lives, while decreasing anxiety, depression, and stress.
Explore how self-compassion creates space for living with intention and provides the nurturance needed to express our full potential.
Discover how to meet our emotions with curiosity, openness, and non-judgement instead of blame and shame.
Define empathy, self-esteem, loving kindness, and equanimity as related to compassion for ourselves, our loved ones, and all beings.
Share Playback practices (no theatre training needed) and utilize experiential exercises in mindful listening, loving kindness, and working with difficult emotions as a way to embrace our lives and cultivate kindness toward ourselves even amidst the uncertainty and fear of a pandemic.
Who is this workshop for:
Individuals seeking to learn practices of awareness and compassion while connecting with others through Playback theatre for the purpose of unlocking healing, transformation, and joy.
