Reinventing Chicago 2013: Celebrating 35 Years of Community Innovation
Join us for an inspiring look at how CNT reinvents the way Chicago and other cities approach sustainable development and economic opportunity for all residents. The event comes on the heels of our Urban Sustainability Apps Competition, and will feature a look at the winning app.
The keynote speaker is Jack Tchen, historian, Associate Professor at NYU, and founder of the Museum of Chinese in America. Tchen sees smart devices as powerful tools to tell the stories of place, and of the people in those places. CNT sees smart devices as powerful tools to improve our neighborhoods, live a little greener, and help our communities thrive. We have a lot in common.
WBEZ's Natalie Moore, the Field Museum's Alaka Wali, and CNT's Scott Bernstein will add their perspectives, and ask for yours.
Oh, and there will be cake! It's our birthday.
Please come for the conversation, stay for the cake, and help us celebrate 35 years of CNT!
Moderator: Dr. Robert C. Henderson, CNT Board Member Co-chairs: James N. Cahan and Patricia SaldaƱa Natke
Hors d'oeuvres & drinks will be served
