Exhibition Opening Reception - Tuesday, September 17 @ 6pm
PAINTING IOWA A PLENO SOL
Since Félix de la Concha came to the United States 18 years ago, each place he has lived has brought new perspectives to his work. De la Concha is best known to the American public through his polyptychs, painted "en plein air", including One Season from Each Corner (Columbus Museum of Art), 365 Views of the Cathedral of Learning (Carnegie Museum of Art/University of Pittsburgh) and Fallingwater en Perspectiva (touring exhibition). Félix has being working in Iowa City for the past four years. He explores a new vision through an examination of temporal and spatial dynamics.
