CityDance Summer Intensive Live Online Audition on Saturday, May 2nd 2020
CityDance is bringing professional artists from around the US and the world to Rockville, Maryland this summer! Train with artists from Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH), Koresh Dance and other world-renowned companies this summer, as well as CityDance faculty including Choreographer-in-Residence, Robert J. Priore and CityDance Conservatory Ballet Master, Stanislav Issaev.
CityDance Summer Intensives prepare young dancers for 21st century careers with specialized professional training, rich performance opportunities, and strong connections to the professional dance world.
Intensives are ideal for young dancers, ages 8-20, interested in a challenging exploration of classical and contemporary training with daily classes in ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, jazz, and world dance. Other highlights include choreography workshops, partnering, and an exciting culminating performance showcase at the end of each two week intensive segment.
There are 6-8 weeks of intensives scheduled for the summer of 2020 and you can choose any of the two week segments. You can tailor your summer training to participate in one or all of our summer programs from June through August. One week experiences are also available.
Audition Classes on Saturday, May 2nd, will be taught by the dynamic teachers of DTH and CityDance teaching faculty.
LIVE ONLINE AUDITION SCHEDULE Saturday, May 2nd, 2020
Ages 8-10 y.o.:
Live Online Ballet class from 9:00-10:30am
Live Online Modern class from 12:00-1:15pm
Ages 11-13 y.o. (with 2 years of pointe experience):
Live Online Ballet class from 9:00-10:30am
Live Online Pointe class from 10:30-11:30am
Live Online Modern class from 12:00-1:30pm
Ages 14+:
Live Online Ballet class from 12:00-1:30pm
Live Online Modern Class from 2:00-3:30pm
Please register here with $25 audition fee. And please send us a headshot and a full body shot. These do not need to be professionally-done photos. Photos taken on phones are more than welcome!
After you register for the live online audition you will receive an email from summer@citydance.net with all the details about how to log in for CityDance live online classes.

DRESS CODE
Female: leotard, ballet tights, ballet shoes with elastic straps and/or pointe for ballet and pointe class. Leotard, black dance shorts/leggings and bare feet for contemporary.
Male: fitted black or white t-shirt or tank, men's tights, black or white ballet shoes
