Modern Music Gala featuring music composed by Steve Peisch
The CCA is topping off its season by presenting a gala concert of modern music, featuring the work of composer, Steve Peisch.
In this concert, Peisch will first present a variety of vocal music, featuring soloists, vocal trios, a children's choir, and the Westford Chorus. Peisch has set to music a number of poems by Langston Hughes, one of America's best-known and well-loved poets. Peisch recently celebrated the 100th birthday of Nelson Mandela by writing the song, "I Believe the Sun is Gonna Shine Like a Great New Day." The second half of the concert will feature music composed for the piano, and will culminate in an anthem for flute, cello, and piano, which was commissioned especially for this event.
