Evanston Bluegrass Festival
Saturday, June 20, 2020 - Now held inside/outside at the beautiful Evanston Machine Shop & Plaza. Evanston Bluegrass Festival offers live music on stage all day with plenty of food & drink. Bring your instruments and join a workshop presented by our headline performers.
New this year- AutoFarm Castle Rock is sponsoring tickets for all Evanston residents! To redeem, you must show valid picture ID that shows your Evanston address at the door.

JigJam - 8:45 pm JigJam are a multi-award winning quartet from the heart of the midlands in Ireland. Blending the best of traditional Irish music with Bluegrass and Americana in a new genre which has been branded as I-Grass (Irish influenced Bluegrass), their onstage energy along with their virtuosic musical ability has captivated audiences throughout the world.
Charm City Junction - 7:10 pm From dance-inducing Old Time rhythms and foot-stomping Irish melodies to hard-driving Bluegrass, Baltimore-based acoustic roots quartet Charm City Junction creates a fresh soundscape that keeps listeners on the edge of their seats wondering where they'll go next. The band is comprised of four of the most talented and promising young musicians in the country.
Blue Canyon Boys - 5:35 pm The Blue Canyon Boys are equal parts purists and innovators when it comes to Bluegrass: they stay true to the forms roots while constantly reimagining their relationship to tradition. The result is a toe-tapping mix of haunting standards, genre-bending arrangements, and catchy original numbersall built on the bedrock of their collective bluegrass mastery.
Hillfolk Noir - 4 pm Grab a drink, sit down, take a breath, have a listen for a moment, an hour, a night, because here they come with their earnest musical narratives of the back alleys, the open range, the hollow, the front porch, the lives behind the love, want, fear and fracture of a world that despite all adversity remains, within their songs, hopeful, thoughtful, jubilant.
Molly in the Mineshaft - 2:20 pm Newgrass group Molly in the Mineshaft finds a perfect balance between celebrating the diverse musical heritage of bluegrass music and presenting it with a new twist. Theyll wow the audience with their upbeat take on traditional favorites from around the world, mixed with roots-inspired original compositions. Their purpose is to uplift, entertain, and inspire people of all ages through high-energy, diverse music.
Jalan Crossland - 12 pm Jalan Crossland is an endemic Wyoming treasure (Rita Basom- Wyoming Arts Council). He is widely acclaimed by audiences, critics, and his musical peers as being a premier acoustic guitarist, as well as banjo player, singer-songwriter, and engaging showman.
