Dietrich Strause with Special Guest Hannah Read Live at the Lutherie
Dietrich Strause releases his new album Last Man Standing on the Sun with an intimate acoustic performance at Stubblebine Lutherie on March 19th. Strause's songs are a mix of timeless melody, literate lyricism, and a virtuosic command of imagery. (The Artery, WBUR) The Indie-folk singer songwriter recorded his new album of ten solo acoustic songs on a reel-to-reel tape machine in his living room, and aims to recreate the intimacy of the album here at the Lutherie.
Special guest Hannah Read opens the show. Hannah has been lauded by the UK's Mojo Magazine as one of "the finest singers of the day". Born in Scotland, and currently living in New York she seamlessly weaves her influences from both sides of the Atlantic garnering her comparisons to Sandy Denny, Joni Mitchell, and Feist.
