Women's Work Concert: Sisterhood of Harmony
The Howland Cultural Center, Beacon's premier arts, cultural and entertainment venue, now celebrating its 40th Anniversary in bringing the arts, culture and entertainment to Beacon and the Hudson Valley, is pleased to once again host the annual Women's Work Concert: Sisterhood of Harmony, to benefit the good sloop, Woody Guthrie.
What do singer-songwriters Lydia Adams Davis, Hope Altkin, Sarah Eide, Lara Herscovitch, Judy Kass, Colleen Kattau, Amy Laber, Miss Vicki, Sharleen Leahey, Mary Poppins, Amy Soucy, Elly Wininger, Resisterhood and the Woody have in common? They all love our Hudson River, the joyous singing and sailing offered free to folks on the Woody. They all share Pete and Toshi Seeger's vision of a cleaner, safer and saner world, filled with hard work for climate health, community, equality, freedom, peace, honesty through the Sisterhood of Harmony. In 2020, they will celebrate the anniversary of Earth Day and Women's Suffrage.
