David Templeton's Twisted Christmas Live 6
The sixth annual alternative X-mas celebration, featuring stand-up comic Marga Gomez, slide-guitar legend Roy Rogers, woman-of-a-million-voices Debi Durst, Reed Martin of the Reduced Shakespeare Company, plus plenty of others in a wild and crazy evening of offbeat Christmas stories read aloud by some of the Bay Area's funniest people. Music, comedy, and special surprises will be juggled by Bay Area writer David Templeton, once again acting as host. Stories include Crumbs at Midnight, in which a band of cookies attempts to fend off Santa Claus for one long Christmas Eve night, The Water Ghost of Harrowby Hall, in which the ghost of a drowned woman brings a damp and drenching element to every Christmas Eve, and The Boy Who Laughed at Santa Claus, in which a young skeptic meets his match when confronted by a very real Santa Claus. Also featured, the second annual Twisted Christmas min-film fest, with a spattering of outrageous short films (including John Harden's hilarious 'Santalicious.' This is a benefit for the Food For Thought HIV Food Bank and the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Santa, both major forces in the effort to feed the hungry and disabled of Sonoma County.
