Steel Magnolias

This spring, the Strand Theatre is thrilled to bring to the stage the southern classic Steel Magnolias written by Robert Harling. Take a trip to Miss Truvys beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisianna and peer into the lives of the women who are strong as steel but gentle as magnolias in May. Cast members include: Santina Vigliotti as Truvy Jones, Karissa Martin as Annelle Dupuy-Desoto, Melody Meadows as Clairee Belcher, Micah Underwood as Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie, Brigitte Mazure as MLynne Eatenton, and Brenda Crow as Ouiser Bourdreaux. If youre a fan of the 1989 film starring Julia Roberts, Sally Field, and Dolly Parton, youll recognize the same beloved characters and one-liners in this production!

Steel Magnolias will be presented to the public on April 3 and 4 at 7:00pm and on April 5 at 2:00pm. Doors open 30 minutes prior to performance.

Adult (18 and up) ticket prices $12 presale and $15 at the door. Student tickets (17 and under) $10 presale and $12 at the door.
