Laurel Ensemble
The Laurel Ensemble was founded in 2005 to specialize in the rich and varied repertoire written for mixed strings, winds and keyboard during the past four centuries. They were chosen for the San Francisco Symphonys Adventures in Music program, performing 132 concerts for over 9000 children in every public elementary school in San Francisco. Program: Simon Sargon's Shema (Hear) based on 5 poems by Primo Levi, an instrumental suite from his new opera Inferno by Peter Josheff (world premiere), and Brahms' Piano Quartet Op. 25 in g minor.
