Eric Kilburn & Dean Stevens at the Homegrown Coffeehouse
Eric Kilburn spent the mid/late 1980s working his way up the food chain in the east coast folk music scene, playing regularly at nearly all New Englands folk clubs and touring as far south as the Carolinas and as far west as Illinois. He has played at over 40 times at the legendary Passim in Harvard Square. initially opening for established artists like Shawn Colvin, Tracy Chapman, Eric Andersen and others, before playing a dozen times as the feature. He released 4 acclaimed albums over 7 years, had songs covered by Arlo Guthrie and Pete Seeger, and performed in a PBS pilot with Shawn Colvin, John Gorka, and Fred Small.
Dean Stevens was one of the first performers to appear at the Homegrown, and he has never slowed down. For nearly 40 years Dean has delighted audiences of all ages throughout the Americas. Dean is an exuberant performer of distinctive style and wit, combining an intricate, self-taught guitar style with a versatile and expressive singing voice. He has established himself as a formidable creator and interpreter of a wide spectrum of songs in English and Spanish.
