CANCELED - Improvisation Workshop for Classical Musicians with Eugene Friesen
Integrate your treasury of classical music experiences into spontaneous playing and interacting. The study of improvisation - largely lost from classical training for 300 years - is making a comeback as players at every level discover the joy of playing by ear, interacting without sheet music, using their instruments in new ways, learning dance rhythms from all over the world, and more. Improvisational skills also richly enhance the performance and practice of classical repertoire and offer new flexibility for collaboration and creativity. Open to vocalists and players of orchestral instruments of all ages.
