In 2020, country music is making a comeback. Halsey is singing half-naked on a mechanical bull, and Orville Peck is a thing. Is it authentic, or perhaps a calculated move to keep up with increasingly short cycles of nostalgia? Is culture caught in a feedback loop? And what are we nostalgic for?
In 2027, country music is on the rise again (as is the global temperature). The pop stars of the future are traveling back in time to put on a killer show for you (and also to steal from your water supply).
Its a hellish mix of music, sketch, standup, and dance called Sick Country.
