Music of Brazilian Piano Legends: Donato, Pascoal & Salvador
Join pianists Cassio Vianna, Jasnam Daya Singh, and Kerry Politzer for an evening honoring three living legends of Brazilian jazz piano: Joao Donato, Hermeto Pascoal, and Dom Salvador. The pianists will perform with veteran Seattle bassist Dean Schmidt and percussionist Simon Lucas of the Brazillionaires. Vocalist Sherry Alves will be a special guest.
Allen Thayer, host of KMHD's The Brazilian Beat, will open the concert with a short multimedia presentation.
This exciting event has been funded by the Regional Arts and Culture Council.
