2013 BRM December Intensive and Celebration

Come join Diego in Mexico to offer your body, your spirit and your art in creative and ritual communion. Create space to honor and release the past and take time to care for the questions and dreams that you hold in your hands. Come to plant them carefully and deeply inside yourself, with each other and in the earth, and for our future together. Come dance your heart, your bones, your life!
In these 5 days both international and Mexican students will have the special opportunity to work and share in this unique cross-cultural setting. We will engage in the intense, joyful and intimate BRM training to cultivate our energetic capacities, expose and transform our own cultural references, and discover the limits of the body as a means to open the door to the immense and subtle realms within us.
We will train together at the Butoh Ritual Mexicano Dance Center, a beautiful studio built by Diego on his family land in the hills of Tlalpujahua, cultivating a sense of communal ritual with the environment and one another.
Together we will search for the voice underneath the fashionable, the seed that waits dormant beneath a facade of marching masks. Together we will dig to find this hidden seed and offer it to the future that is calling us to create it.
Together participants will create a collective offering that will be presented on the final day.
PREREQUISITE: PRIOR BRM TRAINING WITH DIEGO (minimum 10 hrs.)
$400.00 total (including $150.00 non-refundable deposit)
Shared housing arranged by BRM, approximately $14/night
Food approximately $5/day
