Listen Locally Downstairs: Jazz Stories with Lynn Speakman
Jazz Stories continues with Pittsburgh saxophonist/composer, Lynn Speakman. Lynn is an accomplished performer, composer, arranger, copyist and music educator When shes not teaching and performing, Lynn spends much of her time composing and arranging, transcribing and engraving music for her own quintet, her students, and for a large list of clients in NYC, where she resided for 7 years.
Education is a big part of what Lynn does as shes taught for many acclaimed programs like the Stanford Jazz Workshop and Pittsburghs own, Center of Life Jazz but well let Lynn tell you more about that...
Join us mid-week and unwind with Lynn Speakman and her sextet as she shares some great stories and her own, original compositions and arrangements.
Doors open at 6:30 pm || Concert begins at 7:00 pm
