Listen Locally Downstairs: Jazz Stories with Mark Strickland
This event has been postponed until further notice.
Our first Jazz Stories concert features guitarist, Mark Strickland. Mark began playing in Pittsburgh in 1963 and currently maintains a full-time performance schedule as a Jazz guitarist. Mark is also an accomplished sound engineer and dedicated music educator with a private studio for motivated students.
Early in his career, Mark was influenced by Jazz and R&B legends who appeared in our regions renowned Jazz clubs like the Crawford Grill, the Hurricane and the Roosevelt Theater; well let Mark tell you more about that...
Join us mid-week and unwind as Mark Strickland and his trio bring you some great stories and classic Jazz guitar music inspired by the likes of Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell and Grant Green.
