Putney, VT Next Stage Arts Project presents Cooking & Baking with Beans featuring baker and registered dietician Kelsey Baumgarten, owner of Hidden Bean Bakeshop, on Monday, March 23rd at 6:00 p.m. Participants will learn to make falafel burgers, black bean brownies, chocolate hummus, ginger spiced cookies, and other bean-centered recipes. The cost is $65 per person and limited to 12 students. The class will include a discussion on the health benefits of beans, tips related to sugar intake, and the pros and cons of following a gluten-free diet. Students will be encouraged to ask questions about dietary trends, diets, and other food-related issues. Kelseys knowledge of nutrition and beans comes from her college thesis, which yielded her Hidden Bean Cookbook.
