Wild Women Warriors: Into The Fire
FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2020 - Friday 6th March, 7pm - Blue Eyed Lassie Productions Present: Wild Women Warriors: 'Into The Fire'

This is our first event under the banner of Wild Women Warriors and the first ever ALL-WOMEN-ONLY EVENT that our company, Blue Eyed Lassie Productions, has hosted.

We shall be presenting the spoken word in all its guises: Mini-Plays, Extraordinary Stories, Poetry, Stand-Up, Dramatic Monologue, Inspirational Talks, Songs of Protest and more...

The host for the evening will be Keara Murphy: Comedian, writer, documentary maker and after-dinner speaker:
BBC Two Timeline, BBC 4 Woman's Hour, BBC Radio 4 Pick of the Week, Creator of BBC sitcom Mistress MacKenzie and Friends, Creator of BBC Sketch Show The Sharks Mouth, BBC Radio Scotland The Secret life of Robert Burns.

We shall be joined by Mary Turner Thomson, the best-seller author of 'The Bigamist'.  She is also a motivational speaker, among other things, and she has faced adversity and come out smiling, having discovered the ability to change misfortune into opportunity.  Always positive, Mary walks her talk and uses the concept of Personal Responsibility to help herself and other people, to a better idea of themselves and therefore to a better life.

Mary has since written another book called TRADING PLACES. This is the inspirational true story of Natalie Hutchison  winner of the Barclays Bank Trading Places award 2006  about the struggles of a chronically abused woman, who took control of her life by starting a hugely successful business.

Special Guest Speaker: C.E.O. at Supersize Media, Fin Wycherley: Social Media Expert, BBC Radio Scotland Contributor, Advisory to No 10 Downing Street, website consultant and much more. She will share some poems, stories and business tips with us.

Our musician singer-songwriter, is Elyssa Vulpes: She is a bohemian art-rock fusion artist.
Chronicling tales of a modern day gypsy and her search for love and romance in the face of adversity.

Drawing inspiration from Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd and Amanda Palmer, this melodic minstrel has treaded the boards of Wellington's International Folk Festival, Italy's Teatro Sociale Villani, San Francisco's Bath House and Glasgow's Nice 'n' Sleazy club, among others.

And some more super secret surprise guests... (tbc)

The Jig Room, Private Bar, Cocktail Menu, 7pm for 7.30pm-10pm (20m Interval) the bar will remain open after the show and we have the room to mingle, blether, dance and make-merry til at least midnight.
