Silk Painting with Louise Noel

Join silk artist Louise Noel for a one day journey into the brilliant and joyous realm of silk painting. Students have the option to paint a LONG 54x8 scarf or a SQUARE 21 x 21 scarf! Louise guides students using the Sert (closed fence method of silk painting). An assortment of patterns is available for students to choose from. This session, we will use various resists...dive into vibrant color, play with surface treatments, use alcohol and salt to create texture and movement. Steam setting will be provided for your finished scarves so that you can proudly wear or display your art. Student also goes home with stretcher, additional scarf and inks to make a second scarf! COST $155 for LONG scarf or $150 for the square Ages 15+

Please note our Cancellation Policy: Preregistration is required for all classes including payment in full. A full refund is available for cancellations up to 7 days before class, half refund 2-7 days before class. No refund within 48 hours of class. If there is a waiting list or you can find someone to fill your spot, we will offer a full refund minus Paypal fees if applicable.

COVID-19 Safety protocol: For the safety of teachers as well as students, we will be requiring anyone in the studio taking classes or shopping, to wear masks and keep their hands clean. Students can go outside to take breaks and get fresh air during class, but must be masked at all times inside the studio. If you anticipate this being too cumbersome please wait to register for a class at a later date when these restrictions are lifted. Classes will be limited to six students as we ease into reopening. Studio and common tools will be sanitized after each workshop.
