Presenter: Johnny Kang, PE(NV), CFPS, is a senior fire protection consultant with 13 years of experience. Johnny specializes in building and fire code consulting for a wide range of new and existing facilities, including residential, assembly, commercial, industrial, hospitals, and institutions. His work includes plans review and inspection of new and existing buildings for compliance with local building and fire codes. Jacob is an associate with two years of experience. Jacob has worked on a variety of technical projects including fire suppression, fire alarm and detection, and smoke control system design. Field experience ranges from onsite fire flow analysis, special inspections of different smoke control systems, and property condition assessments of commercial and residential facilities for fire and life safety system deficiencies. Other experience includes fire safety management and life safety analysis of high-pile storage, college, hospital, residential, and prison facilities. Jacob has extensive experience using different engineering software including Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) and CONTAMW for smoke control system design, Pathfinder for egress modelling, and Hydraulic Analyzer of Sprinkler Systems (HASS) for automatic sprinkler system design.
