11:00a - 12:50p Jack Dagger Street Show - Who Cares? Why should anyone give a good goddamn about your street show? I'll help everyone answer that question, and if they've got an answer, they've got the beginnings of a good show. We'll also cover strategies covering approach to the pitch, crowd psychology, and having a brilliantly polished hat line. Time permitting and class demanding, we may even discuss the practical aspects of knife throwing! 110 minutes $30
11a - 12:50p Sam aquatic Intro to contortion - A twisted world Intro to contortion workshop for flexible weridos! Basic contortion warm ups, solo and duo sequences, physical theatre and prop work experiment lab for to not only advance in skill but non stage presence. Talk about taking care of your body on the road and between shows. *Students are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat, yoga blocks and props they want to work/experiment with. Must have basic front and or back bending ability. Comfortable in backbends and stamina basic handstand exercises. 110 Minutes $30
1p- 1:50p Reggie Bügmüncher All the questions you have, answered. A brief 50-minute Intro to a large amount of information solving problems performers face in their first five years. I want to share the knowledge I accumulated and particularly information that I am asked for all the time from newer performers. Everything from booking and knowing your worth, navigating personalities, traveling with equipment and act development. 50 Minutes $10
1p- 1:50p Betsy Propane Burlesque and Sideshow Hybrid! How to merge the 2 genres! Lern basic performance in burlesque and how to incorporate acts that are traditional to sideshow and involve burlesque. 50 Minutes $10
2p -2:50p Louie Foxx intro to the three shell game Learn to do the classic Three Shell Game. You will learn the basic moves, sleight of hand, history, and a bit of the psychology behind the shell game. Included with the workshop is a set of shells and peas you can keep! 50 Minutes $10
2p -2:50p Thom Wall Learn to juggle - so seriously this is a good idea Learn to juggle three balls (or up your existing skills) with former Cirque du Soleil artist Thom Wall. 50 Minutes $10
3p- 3:50pThe Lady Aye Personal Statement for Performers From stage to social media, having well-written materials will help performers at all stages of their careers focus their intentions and stand out from the crowd. Personal Statement for Performers will give students the initial tools to help create effective tag lines, bios and other written materials. Students MUST bring pen and paper (not laptops), there will be written exercises. 50 Minutes $10
4p- 4:50p Jonathan Bailey Copyright and Trademark for Performers Copyright and Trademark law is confusing and, as a performer, you are in a unique situation. As such, it's important to know what your rights are under copyright and trademark law and how you protect those rights. It's also crucial to know how to avoid infringing others to keep yourself safe. This course will go over the very basics of copyright and trademark law as they pertain to performers. Over the course of the hour, you should learn the basics of the law, how to avoid infringing and how to best protect your work. 50 Minutes $10
