The Spring Portfolio Tasting
Join the Winemakers Co-Op for an afternoon on the sprawling lawns of Working Dog Winery in eastern Mercer County, and taste some of the top estate-grown wines of New Jersey. This event will feature live Jazz-Fusion of the Dom Polombi Project. Keith Wallace, owner & operator of the Philadelphia Wine School will deliver two engaging and entertaining educational wine talks. Woodcraft BBQ will serve a terrific spread of wine-friendly bites. As a new element to the event, Wood Craft will dish up creative comfort food creations including risotti with made-to-order lobster, which can be enjoyed with or without a visit to our Chardonnay tasting bar! Meet the winemakers and proprietors of the five Co-Op wineries and taste over 40 wines that adhere to our strict quality standards. All wines poured at this event will be 100% New Jersey-grown from the classic vinifera grapes of Europe and dry in style.

A special VIP Package includes:
+ Rosés that rock: a tasting and discussion of dry rosés by the winemakers, with reflections on the 2019 vintage
+ cheese & charcuterie spreads & crudités
+ premium bottled water
+ access to reserve wines from the wineries, and winemaker visits in the VIP designated area

Very special guest Keith Wallace will give a spirited and entertaining educational wine talk at 2:30pm at 3:45pm. Mr. Wallace has worked as a winemaker, sommelier, chef, distributor, journalist, and owner of the Philadelphia Wine School, one of the most inspiring centers of wine knowledge on the east coast of the United States.  His work on the national and regional wine scene has earned him a reputation as a slightly nutty professor with a razor-sharp intellect. His breadth of experience across the wine world is rarely matched.

This event will mark the debut of the 2018 Open Source Chardonnay. From grapes grown by each member of the Co-Op, the grape juice was equally divided for each winemaker to craft the Chardonnay in their own style. For the first time, all five Open Source Chardonnays will be available in one place at our new "Chardonnay Bar." Back again this year, patrons will be able to meet and taste with each vintner at the "Winemaker's Showcase." At the Showcase area, the five winemakers will each take a 45 minute turn pouring, discussing, and answering specific questions about one single wine that they are most excited to showcase and share with guests.

Live Music: The Dom Palombi Project, based in New Jersey, is a Jazz-Fusion influenced band with flavors of Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, and the fusion side of Miles Davis. Dominic shares his vision to listeners through his unique compositions and arrangements of originals, popular tunes, and "funkified" classic jazz standards ranging in vast genres while maintaining his playful, yet energetic style of drumming.
