Saturday & Sunday April 18 & 19, 2020 10 am - 7pm daily (lunch @ 1-2p + breaks)
As the Decriminalize Nature movement spreads like wildfire across over 100 U.S. cities liberating entheogenic (psychedelic) earth medicines (on the local level only), there are many more people becoming interested in iboga & it's active alkaloid, ibogaine, the holy root from Africa that has been utilized for psycho-spiritual healing since ancient times and for its significant addiction disruption potential discovered in the 1960's.
Iboga & Ibogaine are highly medically sensitive medicines, requiring specialized knowledge for medical screening and support. In the Western world, we encounter many medical considerations and contraindications that its communities of origin do not. Our society will need many more medical professionals who are knowledgeable about this powerful medicine.
THIS SEMINAR IS FOR medical professionals, retreat administrative professionals, psychedelic medicine harm reduction advocates, and all curious community members who want to:
- Have a better medical understanding of iboga & ibogaine
- Support ceremonies when/where it is legal (currently NOT in the U.S. on the state & federal levels) - Share general harm reduction information with communities
YOU WILL LEARN:
- Medical & psychiatric screening protocols
- The critical relationship between ECGs/EKGs and the medicine
- Nutritional & electrolyte preparation
- Contraindicated medications & medical conditions
- Navigating potential ibogaine medical emergencies & emergency room situations
- Protocols for psycho-spiritual journeys vs. drug detoxes
- Medicine sourcing considerations: sustainability, social impact, legalities, & safety/purity - Set & Setting: Offering medical support within traditional & clinical models
**Iboga and other entheogenic substances remain illegal under state and federal law, and possessing or using them could still subject local, state, and federal arrest or prosecution.
